What an AMC actually is — and why the detail matters
An Annual Maintenance Contract is a fixed-term agreement for scheduled, preventive AC care plus priority support. The value: small issues — a fouling coil, a slow drain, a weak capacitor — get caught before they strand you without cooling in August, and you get a known budgeted cost instead of unpredictable emergency bills.

Comprehensive vs non-comprehensive — choosing a tier
- Non-comprehensive (labour-only) — covers scheduled visits, inspections and labour; spare parts billed separately. Lower cost; suits newer units unlikely to need major parts.
- Comprehensive — includes specified spare parts and materials plus labour; genuine fixed-cost cover. Suits older units or owners who want total predictability.

Does the AMC include emergency call-outs?
