What separates a lasting install from a problem one is the invisible work:
- Correctly sized copper refrigerant lines — flared, insulated and routed as short and clean as the layout allows.
- Proper vacuum (evacuation) before charging — removes moisture and air that would corrode the system and kill efficiency. Skipping this is the single most common cheap-install shortcut.
- Charging to manufacturer's specification then commissioning — pressures, temperatures, airflow and condensate drain checked under real running conditions.

The vacuum step in particular is the most common shortcut in cheap installations, and skipping it quietly damages efficiency and shortens the system's life.
