Fortnightly cleaning suits smaller, lightly-used pools in the cooler winter months (roughly November to March), where the weekly algae pressure is lower. Through the hot months — May to September — even a fortnightly pool can benefit from a temporary switch to weekly.

One-off cleaning is available for owners who want a single tidy-up: before a party, returning from a holiday, or when the pool has been sitting unused. A one-off clean is quoted after a quick look at the pool's current condition.

Green-Pool Recovery & One-Off Deep Cleaning

If a pool has turned green — usually after a period of neglect, a holiday, or a prolonged stretch of very hot weather — recovery is almost always possible without draining. The typical process:

1. Shock-treat the water with a high-dose chlorine treatment to kill the algae bloom.
2. Brush the walls, floor and waterline to loosen dead algae and aid filtration.
3. Vacuum out the dead algae (this may need repeating over a couple of visits for heavily affected pools).
4. Run and backwash the filter repeatedly until the water clears.
5. Rebalance all water chemistry to safe swimming levels.

Manual vs Robotic Pool Cleaning

Manual cleaning (pole, brush and vacuum head operated by a technician) gives precise control — especially in awkward pool shapes, around steps, and on waterline tile where algae concentrates. It is the standard method for our scheduled visits.

Robotic vacuum cleaners can supplement manual cleaning, running continuously between visits to keep the floor clear of fine sediment. Where a client has a robotic unit installed, we check and empty it as part of the visit.

Why Dubai Pools Need Frequent Cleaning

Pool cleaning is more demanding in Dubai than in cooler climates, for several reasons:

• Strong UV is hard on surfaces and equipment. Consistent UV degrades pool finishes, bleaches grout and ages equipment faster than in milder climates — regular cleaning reduces the abrasive effect of algae and scale on surfaces.
