Water Features & Fountains in Dubai — Recirculating Design & Build

The Property Masters designs and builds water features and fountains across Dubai — from sleek water walls and blade/scupper cascades to bubbling rocks, rain curtains and classic nozzle fountains. Almost every feature we build is recirculating: a reservoir, a quality pump and shaped nozzles or weirs move the same water on a loop, so it uses very little — only topping up what evaporates in Dubai's heat. The keys are right-sized pumps, the correct nozzle effect, integrated lighting, and a maintenance routine that keeps water clear. Priced by a fixed quote after a free site visit.

What we build — the range of water features

  • Water walls and blade/sheet cascades
  • Scupper and spout features spilling into a pool or trough
  • Rain curtains
  • Bubbling rocks and urns
  • Reflecting pools
  • Nozzle fountains foam-jet, geyser, cascade, crown, tulip and aerating effects
  • Fire and water combinations

We design the feature to its setting — goal is the right scale and sound, not just a pump in a pond.

Recirculation — how a water feature actually works

Nearly every feature is a closed recirculating system.

  • Hidden reservoir or sump holds the water
  • Pump lifts it to the top of the wall, nozzle or spill point
  • Gravity returns it to the reservoir; pumped again continuously
  • Water-efficient: filled once, then only topped up to replace evaporation — a small daily top-up, not constant supply

Pumps and nozzles — getting the effect right

The character of a feature lives in pump sizing and nozzle choice.

  • Too small a pump and a water wall dribbles; too large and a delicate fountain becomes a fire-hose
  • Nozzle types — foam jet, aerating, cascade, geyser, crown — each produces a distinct shape and sound
  • Flow rate and head must be matched to the nozzle
  • We size the pump, select nozzles for the effect and acoustics you want, and design pipework and reservoir so the result is intentional

Evaporation and heat — the Dubai factor

Open, sprayed and aerated water evaporates faster here than in cooler climates.

  • Bigger spray and more exposed surface area = higher top-up and more mineral scale
  • We use right-sized reservoirs, optional auto-fill, shade and placement to limit evaporation
  • Sheet cascades and water walls lose less water than high aerating jets — honest design means matching the feature's drama to the upkeep you are willing to accept

Lighting and integration

  • IP68 LED lighting integrated into walls, troughs and nozzles — see pool lighting for the same low-voltage, DEWA-compliant approach
  • Designed to sit within the wider landscape alongside a concrete pool or infinity pool so water, light and hard landscaping read as one coordinated scheme

Materials and build quality

  • Weather- and UV-resistant stone, porcelain, stainless steel and quality liners
  • Proper waterproofing behind any wall that carries water
  • Cheap materials stain, leak and degrade fast under Dubai sun and treated water

Maintenance — keeping water clear

Simple, regular routine via our maintenance team:

  • Check water level; clean pump and filter; remove debris; treat water against algae
  • Periodic pump inspection and deeper clean
  • Scale and algae the main enemies in hard, hot water — stay on top of them and the feature looks and sounds as designed for years

Bring it together

Water features often form the signature touch in a wider interior and exterior fit-out, pairing naturally with pool lighting. Explore the full range on our interior design hub.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does a recirculating water feature work?

A hidden reservoir or sump holds the water, a pump lifts it to the top of a wall, a nozzle or a spill point, and gravity returns it to the reservoir to be pumped again on a continuous loop. Because the same water is reused, the feature is water-efficient — it is filled once and then only topped up to replace what evaporates, rather than consuming water constantly.

Do water features use a lot of water in Dubai's heat?

Less than people expect, because they recirculate. The main loss is evaporation, which is higher in Dubai's heat — especially for sprayed and aerated jets with lots of exposed surface. We limit this with right-sized reservoirs, optional auto-fill, shade and placement, and by favouring lower-evaporation styles such as sheet cascades and water walls where upkeep is a concern.

What types of water features can you build?

We design and build water walls and blade or sheet cascades, scupper and spout features, rain curtains, bubbling rocks and urns, reflecting pools, and traditional nozzle fountains producing foam-jet, geyser, cascade, crown and aerating effects, including fire-and-water combinations. We match the style, scale and sound to your space.

How much maintenance does a water feature need?

A simple, regular routine: check the water level, clean the pump and filter, remove debris and treat the water against algae, with periodic pump inspection and a deeper clean. Hard water and heat make scale and algae the main concerns, so staying on top of them keeps the feature clear and running as designed. We can provide this through our maintenance team.

How much does a water feature cost in Dubai?

Cost varies widely with the type, size, materials, pump and lighting — a small bubbling urn is a very different project from a large illuminated water wall.
